Invisible Connections Expands into Denmark
01.06.2025:
Invisible Connections, a company based in Åndalsnes and a leading manufacturer of advanced connection systems for precast concrete elements, is now strengthening its international expansion. Bjarke Hakmann has been appointed as the new Regional Sales Manager for Denmark. He will be responsible for leading the company’s entry into the Danish market and has already begun introducing Invisible Connections’ innovative solutions to key stakeholders in the Danish construction industry.
Hakmann brings with him extensive experience from the concrete industry, having previously held roles such as Sales Manager at MEVA Denmark and Business Development Manager at MEVA Nordic. His solid background in both sales and technical consulting is expected to contribute significantly to the company’s growth in Denmark.
According to Hakmann, there is great potential for Invisible Connections’ products in the Danish market. After engaging in dialogue with both the company and several Danish manufacturers, it became clear that the products can make a real difference throughout the entire value chain—from architects to installers. He looks forward to helping establish the brand in Denmark and to building new partnerships in the industry.
Invisible Connections has long been a leading player within its niche in both Norway and internationally, offering concealed connection systems for prefabricated concrete elements. The move into Denmark is seen as a strategically important step in the company’s growth strategy. CEO Nils Magne Dahle expresses his enthusiasm about bringing Hakmann onto the team, highlighting his valuable industry experience and deep understanding of how Invisible Connections’ solutions can generate value in a new market.

Invisible Connections Completes Environmental Product Declaration
14.02.2025:
Invisible Connections, based in Åndalsnes and already a leading manufacturer of advanced connection systems for precast concrete elements, has now reached a major milestone: the completion of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
This has been a comprehensive and time-consuming process for the company’s factory. An EPD is a tool that, when correctly completed, details resource use, emissions, and waste management. It is increasingly being requested—and even required—especially in the construction industry. By finalizing this internationally recognized environmental declaration, Invisible Connections now has concrete, quantified control over its own production—and a competitive advantage in the market.
So, what exactly is an EPD? It’s a document that summarizes the environmental profile of a component, finished product, or service, in line with the standards and guidelines of ISO 14020 (Environmental labels and declarations – General principles). (Source: EPD Norway)
A quantified environmental footprint
"One thing is the legal requirements and stricter documentation standards, but the other is the general focus on sustainability and environmental impact," says Terje Berg, Technical Manager and Factory Director at Invisible Connections.
Berg, together with Production Manager John Egil Sæther, led the EPD project from start to finish. They now have complete control over their production processes—down to the number of minutes and amount of energy it takes to cut a single steel pipe, and exactly how many kilograms of CO₂ the process emits. In other words, they now have a quantified environmental footprint.
"We’ve mapped out all our processes and created a working tool for the future. If we, for instance, consider switching to another type of steel or investing in a new machine, we can now compare the environmental impact," explains Berg.
Significant potential
For many customers and businesses, it’s becoming increasingly important to choose products and suppliers that prioritize sustainability. In some cases—particularly in public tenders—environmental footprint is a key selection criterion. With a systematic approach to data collection, modeling, and analysis, Invisible Connections has developed an essential lifecycle assessment through their EPD.
"We’re really excited about the road ahead and to take full advantage of what the EPD allows us to do. The most rewarding and exciting part of this work is the opportunity to explore areas for improvement in our environmental performance," says Berg.

Miljøfyrtårn certification in progress
28.10.2024: Our company is in the process of becoming Miljøfyrtårn certified.
In order to be certified, we must carry out an environmental survey of the business, and then take measures to meet the industry criteria. The work to fulfill criteria is done with the help of an approved Miljøfyrtorn consultant who has knowledge and experience with environmental certification.
The picture was taken from one of our work meetings. Where John Egil Sæther is in a meeting with Miljøfyrtorn consultant, Line Horvli from Nordveggen AS.
